Dolores
vibe coding
2025
Web application for to-do tasks and personal organization.
This project was born from my desire to experiment with Vibecoding and a personal pain of having a to-do app that feels like me.
That's how Dolores was born.
Tools used:
Problem
The scheduling and task list options I used were limited and did not reflect my way of organizing life. I wanted something lighter, more flexible, and personal.
Solution
I created a to-do list app that combines simplicity with useful features:
Device notifications (web and mobile)
Login with Google
Creation and editing of task categories
Recurring tasks
With feedback from potential users, the app evolved and gained:
Financial control per task.
Team management, with user invitations.
Team tasks.
Process
I started the prototypes on Figma Make
I explored Vibecoding for development
I finalized adjustments and configurations on Cursor
I did everything on my own and with little coding knowledge, which made me feel the real struggles of developers. I needed to learn basic programming concepts to get the ideas off the ground.
Result
A functional app that started as a personal experiment and evolved into a product used by others, validating hypotheses and expanding functionalities.
Learnings
The initial solution is not always the final one: feedback shapes the product.
Design and development go hand in hand and understanding the technical aspect broadens my vision as a product designer.
Even personal projects can be a space for experimentation and innovation.
